Classes
Pre-Schoolers Are Our Specialty!
We offer ballet and tap to our pre-schoolers. Their attention span is limited so each dance subject is filled with activities, songs filled with dance terminology, and props such as tiaras, magic wands, tu-tus, canes, umbrellas for ballet, hats, pom-poms, tambourines, and maracas for tap. We provide tiaras and tu-tus for all of our pre-schoolers.
Dance Parade Day
The last lesson of every month, the young dancer gets to exhibit his/her own self expression by dressing in any
costume of their choice. This helps to build self confidence and creativity. Finally, even the tiniest of tots gets to
participate in our Spring recital in a professionally developed stage setting.
Ballet (Ages 6 and up)
Classical barre work, ballet positions and center floor are taught in this class. Some of the benefits from taking ballet are discipline, grace, poise, and posture. Head and arm movement along with ballet turns and jumps are incorporated into this age appropriate class which will serve them well for the rest of their lives.
Tap (Ages 6 and Up)
Every class begins with barre work as well as center floor. Basic steps are taught weekly and as your dancer progresses we will introduce more combination steps. This is an excellent way to develop rhythm. Tap steps will be taught for the appropriate level of class.
Jazz/Hip Hop Classes (Ages 7 and up)
Children are introduced to fun, upbeat and age appropriate music. Fundamental, techniques, turns, and more are taught in this jazzy, sassy, hip-hop class. These skills will be used in their choreographed routine in our spring recital.
